Bleeding after the menopause, also known as post-menopausal bleeding (PMB), is a common but worrying symptom that may lead to a lot of anxiety. Investigation of this condition is usually by hysteroscopy whereby the womb is assessed using a telescope. This can be performed without general anaesthetic if requested.
Our aim is to provide a rapid, sympathetic service in order to reassure as soon as possible the vast majority of women who experience this symptom that no serious pathology is present.
