Many women experience abnormal periods including heavy, painful, irregular periods and bleeding in between periods or after intercourse. These symptoms can be debilitating as well as embarassing. We provide a sympathetic, modern, evidenced based approach to the investigation and treatment of these conditions. Facilities include out-patient diagnostic hysteroscopy which can be performed without general anaesthetic and endometrial ablation techniques. Where possible we use the least invasive techniques available and try to avoid resorting to hysterectomy, except as a last resort.
